The 11th International Conference on Ubiquitous Robots and Ambient Intelligence (URAI 2014) will be held in Double Tree Hotel by Hilton, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from November 12 to 15, 2014. The conference is organized by Korea Robotics Society (KROS) and Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL).
The aim of this conference is to bring together academics, researchers, engineers and students worldwide to discuss the state-of-the-art technology and to present recent works related to the various aspects of all kinds of robots.
This URAI 2014 is held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia while the previous URAI has held in Korea for past 10 years.
This is the first URAI held at the outside of Korea. Thus, we believe URAI 2014 has a good opportunity to widen the relationship worldwide, especially East-South Asia countries, and hope you enjoy the conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Signing MoU between UniKL and UNESCO IHE

The MOU reaffirms the commitment of UniKL and UNESCO IHE to the objective in supporting the research, development, demonstration and commercialization of scientific findings and technologies for the efficient, economical, and environmentally friendly production of clean energy from hydro resources. Coordinated by the Sustainable Energy Analysis Laboratory of UniKL Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI) led by Dr. Engku Ahmad Azrulhisham, the cooperation will focus on development of sustainable run-of-river hydro power scheme for the purpose of fit-in-approval holder (FiAH) and rural electrification programs.
As addressed in the agreement, UniKL and UNESCO IHE will facilitate cooperative initiatives in the scientific and technological development of sustainable run-of-river hydro power scheme through joint research and postgraduate programs as well as organisation of professional courses and international conferences. The collaboration efforts is in line with the government’s vision in increasing the capacity of electricity generated from hydro resources as well as access to all-hours electricity by rural community.
The MoU was signed by Professor Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud, President of UniKL and Professor Dr. Stefan Uhlenbrook, Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of UNESCO IHE. Also presented in the event is Professor A. Szollosi-Nagy, Rector of UNESCO IHE and Associated Professor Dr. Jamel Othman, Dean of UniKL MFI
